Lindsey & Justin » midwife http://www.lindseyandjustin.com sittin' in a tree Mon, 03 May 2010 18:19:25 +0000 http://wordpress.org/?v=2.8 en hourly 1 My Amazing Midwife http://www.lindseyandjustin.com/2009/07/13/my-amazing-midwife/ http://www.lindseyandjustin.com/2009/07/13/my-amazing-midwife/#comments Mon, 13 Jul 2009 04:00:08 +0000 Lindsey http://www.lindseyandjustin.com/blog/?p=55 Yes, we are going old school with a homebirth and we have found the most amazing woman to deliver Baby K.  PTL!  Her name is Diane Albright from All Bright Beginnings.  I found out about her through a friend and was praying before I made the call to her that she delivered in Lake Hamilton as her offices are in Altamonte Springs.  When I phoned the office I was so nervous to hear what her response would be.   I had been in contact with so many other midwives who wouldn’t go that far because of gas. ugh.  When I called, I actually got a live voice, no waiting and punching 1, 4, or 0 to get a hold of someone!  Such a relief.

The moment that I was waiting for was upon us and she said she DID indeed do homebirths in Lake Hamilton and would be happy to deliver Baby K! YAY! I had heard so many wonderful things about her and in the end I knew two people who had her deliver their babies which made me that much more comfortable with her.  She has a heart of gold and wouldn’t trade her for the world! I have now seen her 3 times and all three times she has treated me like I was the only pregnant person she knew. Such a good feeling!

Here is the La Bassine Birthing Pool I need to purchase in the next few months to make the homebirth nice and cozy! Hoping to give birth to Baby K in it but keeping an open mind because anything can change last minute! :) (Sorry about the girl in the pool I have no idea who she is…lol)
